For Researchers

AIMHI is built as a living research platform. We collaborate with academic and clinical researchers to advance the evidence base for AI-supported mental healthcare.

How We Collaborate

Research partnerships are co-designed from the outset, with governance and publication planned in from day one.

1

Propose

Bring a research question or study design. We work with you to assess feasibility and how AIMHI can support it within real-world care pathways.

2

Govern

We put the necessary ethics approvals and data-sharing agreements in place before any data is accessed, with privacy and participant safety as non-negotiables.

3

Study & Publish

Conduct the study with agreed measures embedded in the platform, and publish findings collaboratively to benefit the wider field.

Data Governance & Ethics

In mental health, trust comes first. Research use of data is governed accordingly.

Ethics-approved

Studies proceed only under appropriate ethics approval and a formal data-sharing agreement.

Anonymised by default

Researchers work with anonymised or aggregated data. Identifiable clinical information stays within the care relationship unless there is explicit consent and approval.

GDPR-aligned

Processing aligns with the GDPR, under the supervision of the Data Protection Commission (Ireland). See our Privacy Policy for how website data is handled.

Participant safety

Clinical safety and participant wellbeing take priority over any research objective, with human oversight throughout.

What AIMHI Can Support

Subject to governance and approval, AIMHI can support a range of research designs.

Anonymised, aggregated insight into engagement and outcomes across care pathways

Use of validated assessment instruments (such as PHQ-9 and GAD-7) embedded in the platform

Co-design of studies, with bespoke measures built into real-world care delivery

Longitudinal data on how people interact with AI-supported and human-led care over time
